Ketamine Wellness Centers Provides New Discount Program for Frontline Healthcare Workers
As our nation continues to face the COVID-19 pandemic, Ketamine Wellness Centers would like to show our appreciation to the frontline workers of our healthcare system.
Many of you have been isolated from family, friends, and working in conditions that are less than ideal. Lacking PPE, long hours, and the fear of contracting the virus are real for you. As strong as you appear on the outside, the pandemic has the potential to severely impact your inside, your mental and emotional health. Depression, anxiety, and PTSD are real possibilities for people facing these unknown and demanding conditions.
There are many things you can do to help minimize the impact of symptoms related to stress, anxiety, and trauma exposure. First, even though you may be isolating from family and friends, take time. Time to talk, time to plan, time to reminisce about things you have done and may want to do again. A phone call or FaceTime visit with a loved one may be a welcome distraction. A weekly happy hour with friends via video chat is also something to look forward to.
Step outside, whether at work or away. Take a deep breath. Release slowly and repeat five times. This will help refresh and oxygenate your brain. Clear your thoughts and allow yourself to continue. If you have time or the energy, go for a walk. Even just a quick trip around the block helps.
When sleep is elusive, as it often is during a stressful period, rest. Take time to pause. Don’t force sleep, let it happen. Get yourself comfortable, in your favorite pajamas and curled in your favorite spot, relax and sleep may come.
Watch Your Health
Eat when you can and make good choices when you can. No worries about grabbing a quick snack if that is what is available. Wash your hands; wear a mask to help minimize exposure risks. If you have a therapist, or a crisis hotline is available to you, use them. It may help to have some one listen to you.
Finally, if other methods aren’t helping to reduce your symptoms of depression and PTSD, Ketamine Wellness Centers can help. We provide ketamine infusion therapy to help with depression, anxiety, PTSD and suicidal ideation. Call 855-KET-WELL and speak with a patient liaison about our 20% Hospital Discount on all Ketamine Infusion Treatments in every one of our clinic locations. This discount applies to all active hospital employees. Use the code COVID19HOSP and learn more information today!
